DC Heroes & Villains
Among my professional projects, DC Heroes & Villains, a Match-3 RPG based on the DC Universe, is the game on which I have spent the most of my time, seeing it through all the way from pre-production and beyond world wide release.
Over the course of the several years I spent on this project I worked as a primary gameplay programmer and primary systems designer. I worked full stack and I don’t think there’s a single part of the project I didn’t touch.
My most notable contributions to this project are:
Designing and Integrating an engaging, cinematic first time user experience (an epic fight against the villain Darkseid)
Creating the saga campaign map known as the Living World
Designing the battle pass and accompanying live ops events
Designing the casual pvp game mode and paving the way for the competitive mode to be added in a later update
Dragons Titan Uprising
Dragons Titan Uprising, a Match-3 RPG based on the How to Train Your Dragon franchise, is the first project on which I was a primary Gameplay Programmer. I joined the team just before its first soft launch date and participated in many core features and future updates.
Titan Uprising is the first project that showed me the overlap in programming and design and the value in pursuing a position that would help bridge the gap between the two. I Worked closely with designers to scope and develop large systems and assure they were fun, scalable, and well-tracked to ensure successful live-ops.
My most notable contributions to this project are:
Development of the Guilds feature known as Clans and Alpha Battles
Development of the async PVP feature known as the Thawfest Games
